THE WEATHER.
The weather has not quite maintained Sts promise of the early morning. A blustering grey northerly sprang-yup and swept the dusfc down the quass and efcreets wherever the water cart had not moistened the eurface. The meteorologist forecasts to-day an increase in the wind and a fall in the barometer everywhere. Correspondingly increased teas are to be expected. There are mdi- j cations for a change in the weather ■ southward of New Plymouth and | Castlepoint. In spite of the recent gales j and rains the country all along the (West Coast is looking exceedingly well.
