CRICKET.

The annual meeting of the Mental Hospital Cricket Club was held on Friday. The report showed the past season to have been a most successful one, the club winning nine out of twelve matches played. C. Morgan headed the batting with the fine average of 36.7 runs per innings. G. Thompson won tho bowling, taking 44 wickets at a- codt of 7.2 runs each. The following were elected officers for the present season :— Captain Mr. C. Morgan; vice-captain, Mr. E. Barnes; hon. secretary, Mr. W. B. H.ickß; Selection Committee, Messrs. Morgan, Barnes, and Tatnell.
