HUTT FIRE BRIGADE.
Captain Shnn presided over the annual meeting of the Lower Hutt Fire Brigade last evening. Two cheques of ±,<i <is each had been received from Messrs Pole and Williams in recognition • v °3' lg s servi ces at a recent fire in the Hutt. A financial statement was presented, which showed the receipts tor the year to be £81, while the working exponaes were, £9. In his aaraual report, the captain congratulated members on the state of efficiency maintain|ed durung the year. The election of officers resulted as follows -.—Captain, J. ±i. blimi; lieutenant, G.
