A woman named Mrs. Mac Donald died from pneumonia, and while the funeral was proceeding her husband died from the same complaint. A week ago both were hale and in the prime of life. NEW YORK MAYORALTY. NEW YORK, 3rd October. Judge Gaynor, Mayor of New York, has been re-elected to the office for another term. STRIKE OF LABOURERS. LAUNCESTON, This Day. The labourers engaged on the permanent way for the trams harve struck for an increase of a shilling a day. Plenty of cheaper labour is available. NEW UNION FORMED. 1 MELBOURNE, This Day.
