A WARNING TO PARENTS.
XO THE EDITOR. j Sir, — Last summer I visited in my business rounds every street in Wellington and the suburbs, and I was very much struck and concerned to see the great number of children, from toddlers up, going without head-covering or hats in the hot sun ; in fact, half the schoolboys were without hats. Having had one of oui> own relations stricken down with a sunstroke through neglecting to wear a hat in the sun, which has caused endless expense and ruined nerves, I think that I am right in warning parents that it is folly to allow children to play about without headcoverings. No doubt, schoolteachers will also warn children thiß summer, — I am, etc., MENTAL. Wellington, Ist October, 1910. NEVER NEGLECT A BAD COLD. Never allow a cold to run its course. Too often its course is towards pneumonia. The first action when you have a cold should be to relieve the lungs. This is best accomplished by the free use of Chamberlain's Cough Remedy. This medicine liquefies the tough mucus and opens the secretions. A complete cure soon follows. — Advt.
