LIBERAL AND LABOUR FEDERATION.
The Wellington 'branch of the Liberal and Labour Federation held a "social" in the New Century Hall last evening. )U: J. W. Henderson presided, and anian^ those present were Sir Joseph Wari, the Hon. R. M'Kenzie and Mrs. M'Keii zie, and the Hons. J. A. Millar and J. Carroll. During the evening Sir Joseph Ward delivered an address, in whicn he dealt with fhe country's finances for the first six months of the financial year (published elsewhere in this issue). The "social" was a pronounced success.
