♦ The following re-turn shows the quantity and valne of gold and silver exported from the several ports of New Zealand during the months of September 1909 and 1910, and for tho first nine jnonths of those years :—: — GOLD. For the first nine months the export of gold was 372,8690z, valued at £1,474,877. For the corresponding period of last year the rruantity was 372,5180z, valued at £1,480,848. The silver exported last September totalled 127,0270z (£12,724), compared with 220,3970z (£22,020) for September, I 1909. For the past nine months the silver aggregate was 1,323,4360z (£132,--626), pompared with 1,351,2330z (£134,--709) last year. The eighth anniversary festival of the Wellington V.M.C.A. will be celebrated on Wednesday next in the Town Hall, when, at 5.30 an "Okie Bnglishe tea" will be held. This promises to be even a greater success than the "Dutch tea" given last anniversary. At 7.45 p.m., a "publio demonstration will be held, when. Mr. J. J. Virgo, of Sydney, and Mr. A.
