A tender from the battleship New Hampshire capr.ir.ed in the North River, j\e\v iork, and it is believed eight mea were drowned. THE DEATH-ROLL. (Received October 3, 9.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, 2nd October. One hundred of the New Hampshire bluejacket* were washed overboard when the tender capsized. Many 'sank in the darkness, but the New Hampshire's boats rescued the majority. The death-roll amounts to between twenty and thirty.
