NO-LICENSE.

BAPTIST CLERGYMAN'S VIEWS. ALLIANCE SHOULD TAKE OVER HOTELS. DEMONSTRATION IN SYDNEY. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. SYDNEY, 2nd October. The Rev. Mr. Barker, president of the Baptist Union, speaking on the nolicense question (on which a vote is to be taken at the general election on 14th October), said if licensos were withdrawn from houses which were necessary to accommodate the travelling public the Alliance ought to buy those houses. If the people now managing them as brewers' slaves were willing to manage them under the Alliance, they could do so. An enormous no-license demonstration was held in Sydney yesterday. Eight thousand children marched through the streets to the Domain, carrying banners and accompanied by bands.
