The Brussels newspaper L'Etoile Belga states that military circles in Paris are perturbed on account of the Malmedy,-. Stavelot Railway. They say the railway is not justified, and is bringing the vast German campi at Elsenborn, Prussia, into direct com-! munication with Belgium. The paper adds that General Langlois^ of the French army, contends that thfl Belgian army would be inadequate tq check any , serious aggression from the east. [Malmedy is a town in Prussia, and situated only one and a half miles from the Belgian frontier. Owing to the terrific uproar, Mr. Tim Healy addressed his supporters in ai smaller hall. He was afterwards mobbed, and the windows of his hotel smashed. Sevaral persons were injured in a charge by the police, who used theu? batons. There are 600 extra police in Dmu dalk.
