Weather.— B, blue skj, be the atmosphere clear or heavy; C, clouds, passing clouds; D, drizzling raiu; f, foggy; G, gloomy, dark weather; H, hail; L, lightning; M, misty; 0, overcast, the whole sky covered with thick clouds; I', passing showers; Q, squally, X, rain, continued rain; S, snow; o.', thunder; U> ugly, threatening appearance. FORECAST. At 9 a.m. the following forecast was Issued for the subsequent 24 hours : — Winds.— Easterly winds, moderate to strong, northward of Xew Plymouth and Napier, and northerly elsewhere. Barometer.— Little movement northward oi New Plymouth and Napier, and falling elsewhere after ten hours. Sea.— Generally moderate, bub increasing between Castlepoint and Kaikoura after ten hours. Tides.— Poor on the west coast of the North Island ; moderate elsewhere. Warning signals for northerly gales will be exhibited at Capes Campbell, Farewell Spit, and Foulwind, and at Stephen Island, Nugget Point, and Centre Island after sunrise. Weather. — Cloudy and hazy weather will probably increase and precede a general change in conditions shortly. Fogs may be expected on the cast coast of the South Island.
