PRISON GATE HOME.

<. Negotiations have been in progress between the Salvation Army authorities and Mr. W. Hurcomb, the owner of a property of ten acres at Berhampore, proposed to be acquired for the establishment of a Prison Gate Home. The property is situated in the direction of Mornington and contains two houses and an orchard, but the existing accommodation woold be insufficient for the purposes for which the property is required. Nothing has, however, been settled, the matter being under consideration of the army officials in Melbourne.
