Cable advice has been received by the local agents for the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company that the Matatoa, which left Wellington on the 30th June for London, arrived at her destination ycbteiday morning, the 12th inst. A telegram received from Greymouth by the Union Company states that the bar is btill in a bad condition. The Mapourika and Poherua will, in all probability, get out this afternoon. If the Mapourika is able to cro&s outwards she will call at Westport, and leave again at 3 a.m. to-morrow, and omit; j tiie usuttl call lit A'eison. She should arrive here to-morrow night. A cablegram from Suva, advises that the Moura left that porl yesterday for Auckland. After discharge at Sydney the Wairuna is to load at Newcastle for Bluff, Dunedin, and Oatnaru. It is expected that the Tyser steamer Indraghiri, from New York, will reach Wellington on Monday week. The vessel will first call at Auckland. Produce for Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland will be loaded by the Wanaka, at Oamaru on the 22nd August, Bluff 23rd August, and Timaru 25th August. On Monday next the coastal steamer Arapawa is to go on the Slip for a general overhaul. Messrs. Bannatyne and Co., local agents for the Tyser Line, advise that the new steamer Muritai, which arrived at Melbourne last Thursday fiom London, may be expected to reach Wellington about the Ist of September. Mr. C. J. T. Hatfie'd, of the Navua, joined the Manuka yesterday as fourth officer vice Mr. W. E. Rogers, who came ashore for orders. Captain I. A. SutcliKe, late of the Tongariro, is to have command of tho New Zealand Shipping Company's new steamer Rotorua. It is reported that Captain Ryiey, late of the Papanui, is in charge of the Opawa.
