LODGE MEETINGS.
* The fortnightly meeting of the Perseverance Tent of the 1. 0.X. was held in the Rechabite Chambers on Thursday, j3ro. R. Burton, Chief Ruler, presiding. One new member was proposed. The new ritual was used for the conduct of the meeting and will always be used in the future, as it is a decided improvement on the o!d one. Correspondence was received from the Pet one Tent inviting the officers to a. social to be held at Petone on 22nd August, to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the order. It ! was unanimously accepted. The Excel- [ sior Te-nt also wrote asking for the cooperation of members to celebrate the anniversary on Ist September, which was also agreed to. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to an ex-member of the order ior his generosity in promising to present a P.C.R. collar for competi-, tion amongst members of this tent. The Star of Wellington Lodge, No. 12 1.0. G.T., held its weekly session on Thursday evening. Bro. W. Weston, C.T., presided over a good attendance oi members and visitors. One candidate was re-adniitted. Bro. Wicks, D.C., was officially received. After business the lodge was declared open, and a very enjoyable programme was arranged by Sisters Pembertcn and M'Ginity, who were in charge. Lodge was closed with iho usual vote of th.an.ks to visitors and contributors to the programme.
