Dobbi*, who has been relieving as clerk of the Magistrate's Court at Stratford during the past few weeks, returned to Wellington on Saturday, ami has rejoined the staff of the local court. Mr. F. J. Johnston, of Waihi, has informed a Hawera Star reporter that he intends to contest the Patea, seat as a Government supporter at the next election. His Excellency the Governor has accepted the position of patron of the Wellington Centre of St. John Ambulance Association. Lord Islington will be present at the annual meeting of the Wellington centre, which has been set down for 22nd August to suit his convenience.
