AMALGAMATION.
STEAMSHIP COMPANIES. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright, LONDON, Uth July. The Royal Mail Steamship Company ii> issuing at par debentures for £1,250,000, carrying interest at 5 per cent, per annum. This is in connection with its scheme for the absorption of the Pacific Steam Navigation Company. [Last month the shareholders of both companies named confirmed the proposal for amalgamation. The combined fleets will total 94 steamers.]
