Tuamarina is inundated, and there are six feet of water on the road between that place and Para, the I next station on the Blenheim-Picton railway line. Para swamp is a sea, and as the water is still rising it is feared there will bo considerable damage and loss of stock, x Water has found a weak spot in the town banking at Blenheim behind theRoyal Hotel, and fears are entertained -that it will break through and flood the northern portion of the town. But for the overflow channels in Blenheim and vicinity, which are working well, the town would have been under water before now. The weather is still very unsettled, with occasional showers. j
