CARTERTON ITEMS.
[BY TELEGRAPH — SPECIAL TO THE POST.] CARTERTON, This Day. The successful tenderer for the erection of a dairy factory on the Carrington Settlement was Mr. A. R. Wallis, of Carterton, the contract price being £843. There were six tenderers, two local and four Masterton, and the prices ranged up to £969 Tho work has to be completed by the end of August, and will be ready for next season's operations. Mr. Morgan is at .present filling the vacancy on the Carteiton District High School teaching staff, caused by the appointment of Mr. H. Miller to the Masterton High School. Quite a number of dairy farmers around Dalefieid intend going in for milking machines this season.
