The Australian rifle team to compete at ! Bisley have arrived. They will commence practice on Monday. A welcome was given them on. arrival. Among those present was Sir George Reid (Australian High Commissioner) and the Council of the National Ride Association. Major-General Lord Cheylesmore paid a tribute to the public spirit of the citizens of the Commonwealth in subscribing to the Empire trophy. He read a message from King George heartily welcoming the Australians upon their arrival in the Mother Country. The team replied expressing a, loyal appreciation of the gracious message. ] The following are th& members of the Australian team : — New South Wales.— A. Cutler, O E Boyd, G. Fisher. Victoria.— R. Reseigh, L. Armstrong, J. H. Williams. 5 South Australia. — J. F. Burcovne F M. Best. S * ' Queensland. — H. Gory, L. Grany. West Australia. — J. Halligan. Tasmania. — W. A. PiLbeam. Major J. J. Paine, of New South, Wales, is commandant of the team, and Captain T. Pye, of Queensland, shooting captain.
