LACROSSE.

KELBURNE (10) v. CAPITOL (3). These teams met at Duppa-street Reserve, and one of the finest exhibitions of lacrosse seen in these parts for some time, resulted in a win for Kelburne, by 10 goals to 3. The referee allowed fifteen minutes' grace fo,r tardy players to arrive, but was compelled to start the game with Capitol very much under strength. Kelburne got going very quickly and had scored 4 goals before the arrival of the balance of Capitol's team. At the conclusion of the first quarter, the score was 4 to 1 in favour of Kelburne. On changing ends, the blues continued to play well together, and tho half-time whittle blew, with K'elburne still in the lead by 7 goals to v. In play again, fast give-and-take passing occurred, but the blues being surer io stick work, kept the score mounting, and again the whistle blew with that team leading by 9 to 3. In the final quarter, the play was well sustained, and once the Kerbrrrne forwards found the net and milled out with & hard-earned victory by" 10 to 3. The scorers for Kolburne were — Webb (3), Meyer (3), Loughnane (2), and Shaw (3), whilst Montgomery, Borrodale, and Forbes- aid the scoring for Capitol. Seely, Proud, MacNamara, and Neal played sterling games for the blues, while Martin (in goal) saved and cleared brilliantly. For Capitol, Rankin, Cundy, Moran were outstanding players. I The first quarter ended 5 goals to 2 in favour of Wellington, and the teems changed over with Wellington leading by 8 to 5. In the third quarter Wellington added two goals and Columbia two, and the game ended 11 goals aIL The defence on either side was not strong, and the scores are a fair indication of the play. For Wellington, Bowen, in goal, played a splendid game, while Penfington, Wicka, Ryder, anJ Robetftsou also played well. For Columbia, Leydon, Casey, Fama, and M'Carthy were conspicuous.
