CAPTAIN SCOTT ENTERTAINED. BY ROYAL GEOGRAPHICAL 1 SOCIETY. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— CopyrigWt. (Received June 1, 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, 31st May. Captain Scott and the officers who will accompany him on his expedition to the Antarctic regions were entertained at lunch afcthe Holborn Restaaarant by the Royal Geoga-aphical Society. Responding to the toast of his health, Captain Soot* referred with pride to the Australians, New Zealaoders, and other colonials who were associated with the expedition. He claimed that he had tried to make it an Empire expedition ; it was thoroughly representative of the.hardihood and energy of the race.
