CITIZENS' FAREWELL.

TO HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR. A public meeting will be held in the Town Hall to-night to bid farewell to his Excellency the Governor, Lord Plunket. Among those who will be present are the Rigbt Hon. the Prime Minister (Sir Joseph Ward), the Mayor (Mr. T. M. Wilford, M.P.), the president of the Chamber of Commerce (Mr. H. C. Tewsley), the chairman of the Harbour Board (Mr. Robert Fletcher), and the mayors of the surrounding municipalities, and' the presidents and chairmen of local institutions. Citizens are invited to attend. The Garrison Band (under the direction of Lieut. T. Herd), by permission of the Defence Department, will play appropriate selections. Mr. E. J. Hill and Mr. Borneo Gardiner vvill also provide musical items. Mr. MauKti-n Barnett (City Organist} will preside at the organ, and Mr. D. A. Kenny will act as accompanist.
