Queen Alexandra has written to Mr. Enoch Edwards, Labour M.P., stating that she was much touched by his speech in the House of Commons in supporting the address of condolence. Her Majesty oxpr^sses her sincere thanks for his kind words. IN AUSTRALIA. (Received May 21. 9.40 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. The view from Parliament House at yesterday's ceremonial was striking. People were densely packed in the form of a gigantic cross. An outstanding feature of the" gathering was the silence. About a hundred women fainted owing to the crush. PERTH, This Day. Yesterday was observed with more than Sabbatical quietude. Memorial services were held in all the churches, which were crowded. HOBART, This Day. Special religious services were held in all the churches. The German gunboat Condor fired sixty-eight guns.
