A private telegram states that the Arbitration Court will sit in Wellington on 15th June. An agitation ,for certain reforms in university methods, which has found some expression lately in newspaper correspondence, seems to be about to take definite shape. A public meeting has been arranged for the 31st inst., at which the Mayor has promised to preside, which will be addressed by several gentlemen who have interested themselves in the matter, and which those interested in educational concerns will be invited to attend. Dr. Anson, of Wellington, who has been on a visit to Sydney, returned by the UlimaToa this morning. Mr. Alfred Seifert, the well-known Manawatu flaxmiller, who has been spending some time in New South Wales for the benefit of his health, returned to Wellington by the Ulimaroa to-day.
