GERMAN NAVY.

LAUNCH OF A DREADNOUGHT. By Telegraph.— rre«B Association.— Copyright, BERLIN, 11th May. Prince Eitel Friedi'ich, the Kaiser's third son, will launch tho Ersatz Frithjof, Germany's eight Dreadnought, at the Baltic port of Danzig on 18th June. She belonged io the 190.9 financial pro gramme, and was laid down before the end of the preceding year. The battleship' rosen, the preceding Dreadnought, was completed and went to sea fifteen months after she- was launched. According to the Tagliche Rundschau, one of the three battleships of the German naval programme of tho financial year 1910 will be built by the Howaldt Works at Kiel. If the hitherto uncontradicted reports that the other two battleships of the programme will bo built at the Imperial yards at Wilhelmsi haven and the Germania yards at Kiel respectively aie accurate, the announcement is interesting, because the ship in question would be tho 13th German Dreadnought battleship and the first of the fourth batch of four ' Dreadnought battleships. This (stated the Berlin correspondent of The Times, on 25th March last) would indicate what is perhaps otherwise probable, that the German nava' authorities do not desire to wait for further improvements of type before ordering tho fourth batch of four Dreadnoughts. In other words, there need be 'no delay in arranging for theconstruction, whenever it may be thought advisable, of the three battleships of the 1911 programme.
