Kimboltou lliudles, one mile and three-miarters. — Maku, 11.0, I; Oryx, 10.9, 2; Maidi, 10.11, 3. Maku won easily after holding a good position all the way. Scratched— Gold Bud. Time, smin 25 4-ssec. Oroua Hack Hurdles; one milo and a half.— Gold Bird, 11.1. 1; Kauroa, 9.7, 2; Pikopo, 11.10, 3. AI) started. Won. by a length and a half. Kauroa led into the straight, where Gold Bird went out. Pikopo challenged but could not get up in time. Time, 2min 52 4-ssec. CANTERBURY AUTUMN FIXTURE. CHRISTCI^JRCH, This Day. The Canterbury Jockey Club'a autumn meeting was continued in favourable weather. The course i* Mill holding. The attendance is good. Results :—: — Peers wick Hurdler, one mile and threequarters. — Southern Cross, 11.8, I ; Whatakura, 11.13, 2; Nova, 10.10, 3. Scratched — Stepenfeldt. Won by a head, four lengths, between second and third. Time. 3min 28sec. Autumn Nursery, of 300 soys; five furlongs. — Danube, 9.6, 1 ; Vice- ! Admiral, 8.0, 2 ; Formless, Q.B, 3. All started. A pretty rice. Won by half a length, a hea4 between second and third ; Countermine a head away fourth. Time, lmin 4*ec. Yaldhurst Welter. 7 furlongs.— Perle ' dOr, 9.2, 1; Rose Noble. 9.8, 2; Ri«.tori 7.13, 3. Scratched— PaMion 9.8. Parula. 9.4, Paragon 9.2. The Libyan 7.7. Ristori led to the straight where Ro*e Noble took charge but Perle dOr wore him down. Won by a head, Ristori a length away. Time, lmin 31 2-s»ec. Outlander and Waipaku took command along the back. Tikitere ran to the front at the top, but Outlander, finishing fast, won by a neck, Oiyoi three lengths away. Time, 2min 36 3-ssec. AUCKLAND RACES. AUCKLAND, Th^s Day. The A.R.C. Easter meeting it being continued to-day. The weather is dull, but the rain ha* held off. Results :— Maiden Hurdle* one and three-quarter miles.— Welleast, 9.13, 1; Free vat a, 9.0, 2; Pukenui, 9.8, 3. AU started— Won by three lengths. Time,*3miu 25 4-ssec. Oirclow Handicap, five furious. — Poictiers, 7.3, 1 ; Lucelle, 7.0, 2 ; We* Olga, 7.0, 3. All started. Poictiers waa always with the leader*, and won by three-quarters of a length. Timo, lmin 3sec. Great Northern Oaks, of 350 soys ; oue and a-half miles. — Sea Elf, 8.10, 1 ; Ambahi, 8.10, 2; Kahama, 8.10, 3. Scratched— Salute and Avoca. Sea Elf shot out at the distance, and w^on easily. Time, 2min 47 3-ssec. Autumn Handicap, of 750 eovs ; one mile aud a half. Sedition, 8.5 „.. 1 Sauta Rosa. 7.5 2 Ngapuka, 7.4 3 Equitas (8.9). Waiau (8.9), Raupaiaha (6.10), Michadoff (6.7) also started. A great race, Sedition winning by a long neck. Time, 2min. 38sec. The Wellington Pony and Galloway Racing Club will hold a meeting tomorrow at Miraraar. As UMial, ladies will be admitted to all parts of the course free. The athletic sports yesterday were well attended. Results : — Maiden, W. Udy ; Hurdles, J. Jones ; 100 yards, Tooly 1, M'Kain 2. Jones, 3; Boys. Championship, Bunny ; Half-milo. Frank Bennett ; 220 yards, J. Jones 1, M'Kain 2. Shields 3 ; one mile, Staveley ; Druid*' Race, Noble ; Forced Handicap, M'Kani and Symonds, dead heat. The football match Greyjmouth v. Otaki was won by the former by 28 to 3. Rikihana had a collarbone broken, and Alf. Cook was rendered insensible during the match. The Otaki hockey team defeated Wellington Hui Mais by 5 to 2.
