Great Britain* diink bill for 1908 (the latest figures available) totalled £161,060,482, as compared with £167.016,200 in 1907. In 1908 the average expenditure per head was £3 12s 3|d, and per family of five persons £18 Is 6jjd, compared wjth £3 15s 3d per head and £18 18s 9d per family in 1907. ' Taking increased population "into account, the decieased expenditure was-i equal to £7,529,913. '
