BOYS' INSTITUTE SCOUTS. CAMP AT MIRAMAR.
About two dozen members of the Boys' Institute Stouts went into camp at Miramar on Friday, under .Scout Master (J. P. Coloneus. The time was hpent in scouting practices and scout games. Yesterday was made as nearly the active service conditions as possible. The hoys were turned out at 4.50 a.m., after a cup of tea and a biscuit ; then they packed their haversacks and started out shortly after daylight. Their first exploit was to "captive" a camp of Miramar scouts which had been established on the adjacent hilLs. At 8 o'clock the boys bivouacked. Kach was give one match ,and had to light his own fire and boil a billy for tea. 'ihe majority of the boys were successful in carrying out this test, and points were awarded to those who pei formed the work in the best and speediest manner. Scouting operations were continued during the morning, and after a swim and dinner more scouting operations were earned out. The camp is reported to have been a great success. The boys entered heartily into the work, and all are much better for the experience.
