A private cablegram from the Governor of Fiji fears that tho hurricane has been serious, although it is not liko'y to retard tho prosperity of Fiji eventually. CRAFT SUNK. SUGAR MILL DAMAGED. [BY. TELEGRAPH — PRESS ASSOCIATION. I AUCKLAND, 26th March. Suva intelligence telegraphed on Saturday states that news from the Rewa River is to the effect that the cane fields nnd banana plantations in that district have been destroyed. Tho Nau»ori sugar mill and buildings have been badly damaged, and all craft on the river sunk. The Rewa River district, some thirteen miles by road from Suva, is one of the Colonial Sugar Company's pris cipal centres of activity. The hugo mill at Nausori, which stands close to the river, contains more than £500,000 worth of sugar refining plant. The craft on tho river, which, at NauaorJ is very wide, aro principally barges and cutters used for lightering tho sugar cane. °
