A private telegram received to-day states that the Wellington Tramways Band secured fourth, and not fifth, place in the Wanganui bend contest yesterday. The Eastbourne Amateur Dramatic Society is performing "Miss Cleopatra," a comedy in three acts, at the Day's Bay Pavilion on Easter Saturday and Monday nights. A special steamer will run on Easter Monday night for the convenience of town patrons. The town box-plan will open at the Dresden on > Monday qext.
