IN A MEXICAN COLLIERY. CAUSED BY CIGARETTE SMOKING. SIXTY-EIGHT MEN KILLED. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. (Received February 4, 9.15 a.m.) MEXICO, 3rd February. An explosion occurred in a coal mine at Las Esperandos, in Mexico. Sixty-eight miners, all Japanese or Mexicans, were killed, and fifty injured. The explosion was caused by a miner smoking a cigarette.
