INCREASE IN PRICES FOR SHEEP.

In consequence of the rise in prices ■ of wool at this week's auction sales, an increase in prices for stock is being experienced by New Zealand farmers. Paddock sheep in the wool, from wethers to lamb, have been advanced from 6d to ls per head, according to quality, but the meat companies are making it clear that the advance is contingent upon a maintenance of the present prices of wool.
