Matters look unpromising for to-morrow, the opening day of the tennis tournament. Some matches were to have been played to-day, but have been declared off. Leading outside players already here comprise Fisher (Wellington), Shirriffs and Upton (Auckland), Miss Francis (Rotorua), and Miss Neville (Napier).
