WELLINGTON CLUB. A swim-off last night, between H. Silver and R. Russell, who dead-heated in the Wellington Club's B Handicap Race (50yds} last week, resulted in a win for the latter. The time was 37sec. Mr. W. G. Morpeth has been elected cabtain of the Wellington Club's water polo team. « PROFICIENCY CERTIFICATES. ' Yesterday afternoon the following boys and girls qualified for proficiency certificates :—: — Boys.— -C. Corrigan, H. Corrigan, and D. Corrigan, all of Ocean Bay School, Blenheim, qualified for 440 yds certificates. Frank M'Ardle, of Onslow-terrace, quali-fied-for a 220 yds certificate.
