Messrs. Townsend and Paul, Ltd., ad vertise particulars of an unreserved auction sale of contractors' plant. The sale, on account of Miramar, Ltd., will be held on Tuesday, 25th inst., at one o'clock at the stables, Miramar. Messrs. Levien, Shallcrasi and Co. advertise that their next sale of household furniture and effects will be held at the Centra] Auction Rooms, Willis-street on Friday aftrnoon at 2 o'clock. Messrs. A. D. Wilson and Co. insert particular of a sale of furniture they are holding at the residence, 202 Willisstreet, to-morrqw at 1.30 on account of Mrs. Turner who is leaving for Sydney. On Friday at 1.30 on the premises, 36, Thompson-street, the same firm will dispose of the contents of 14 rooms. Messrs. T. Kennedy Macdonald, Ltd., advertise particulars of a clearing sale of £600 worth of vehicles, in the shape of lorries, city vans, dogs carts, tip drays, butchers, and bakers' spring carts and pony carts, etc. This sale is to take place on jmday at 2 o'clock at the Wellington Coach Factory, St. Hill-street (off Manners-street) on account of Mr. M. Bohan, coachsmith, who is overstocked, and also has to make room for a new building. The auctioneers state that special terms can be arranged for anyone purchasing £20 worth or more at this sale. On Friday evening at 7.30 o'clock the firm will hold a sale of a London library, consisting of 600 vols. of general literature, catalogues, of which can be obtained on application. The books are now on view and a gaslight display will be given to-morrow night from 7.30 till 9 o'clock. Messrs. Harcourt and Co. will sell by public auction in their rooms, 195 Lamb-tori-quay, on Tuesday, 25th inst., ,at 2.30 p.m. all that piece of land being part lots 37, 33, and 39 on D.P. No. 24, and part section 831 of the city of Wellington having a frontage of 57 feet to Amy-street, New-town by a depth of 77 feet together with three dwellings erected thereon and known as Nns. 7, 9, and 11 ; als>o all those pieces of land being section 35, 36, 37, and 38, block 5, Evans Bay, having a frontage of 216 feet to Seatoun-road, by a depth on one side of 188 feet 3 inches, and 115 fee^ 5 inches on the other side, together with six dwellings erected there on, each containing six rooms and conveniences; also all that piece of land containing 17 acres 2 perches more or less, being section 19, block 7, J3elmont Survey District, situated on theTorirua main road, Johnsonville, together with a six-roomed dwelling and conveniences, outbuilding and conservatory erected thereon. On Thursday, 27th inst., the firm will sell at the residence of Mr. W. L. Meek, No. 10, Claremont-grove, off Austinstreet, commencing at 11 a.m. the whole of the household furnishings and appointments, contents of ten rooms. Messrs A. L. Wilson and Co. advertise the following properties for sale on Friday, the 28th January :— Section 27ft by 159 ft, Willis-street, with the building occupied by the Wellington Coffee Palace Co. ; section, Herbert-street, 29ft by 76ft, with a three-storied brick building j eight sections at Kona Bay, and
one-third undivided share in 41 acres of land at Upper Hutt. A residential property situate Wellington terrace, being No. 171, and two sections of land facing Queens -drive, will also be offered. On Wednesday, the 2nd February, 137 level sections comprising the Waldegrav* Park estate, Upper Hutt, will be offered at auction.
