AUSTRALIA'S NAVY. CONTRACT FOR A NEW CRUISER INDEFATIGABLE TYPE.
SUBMARINES AND OTHER CRAFT. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright, (Received December 10, 9 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. The Federal Government has advised the Admiralty to arrange without delay a contract for building a new cruiser of the Indefatigable type. The building of most of the remainder of the new unit will be put in hand on dates to enable the contractors to complete them, all about the same time. An order for submarines is withheld for the present, with the object of securing the latest modifications and improvements.
