AIRSHIPS IN WAR-TIME.

MAY BE A GREAT FEATURE. LORD ROBERTS'S VIEWS. By Telegraph. -Press Association.— Copyright. LONDON, 9th December. Field-Marshal Lord Roberts, speaking at the Royal United Service Institution, said : "Britain cannot afford to be behindhand in the matter of air ships and aeroplanes. 1 firmly believe these craft may be great features in the next war. We must make our own machines and train our own aeronauts. "Englishmen are brave and confident, because they know nothing of what is going on. They are content to remain in a state of apathy, because they will not fcelieve anything can happen to them. The valour of ignorance pervades the whole country."
