The prize court at Libau has awarded the owner 'of the steamer St. Kilda £26,958 lor detention during the RussoJapanese War, but claims for uncontraband portion of the vessels cargo have to await settlement. Last month the Russian Prize Court delivered its award in a claim for compensation brought by the British India Steamship Company against the Russian Government for the loss of its steamer Ikhona, which was rammed and sunk by the Russian cruiser Terek on sth June, 1905. The company was awarded £61,994. The South British Insurance Company gets £950, and the New Zealand Insurance Company £16,696.
