The president hopes tho meeting of tho executive will devise some means to arrive at an amicable settlement. Tho Railway Department has purchased all the available coke (about 100 tons) from the Greymouth Gasworks. The miners' manifesto has not yet beon published, tho delay being due to a deoision to fully reply in it to tho recent Ministerial statement.' OTHER MINES BUSY.'
