DANISH SCANDAL.
PROPOSAL FOR ARRAIGNMENT OF EX-PREMIER. By Telegraph.— Frea» Association.— Copyright. (Received December 3, 9 a.m.) COPENHAGEN, 2nd December. A majority of the Folkething (House of Commons) Committee has urged the arraignment of M. Christensen, ex-Pro-mier, before a special State tribunal on account of his relations with M. Alberti, ex-Minister of Justice. M. Alberti was in September oFjtast year arrested on a charge of forgery while director of the Zealand Peasants' Savings Bank. Allegations had been made against him foT some months previously of making use of his office for private ends. His defalcations were stated to amount to nearly £1,000,000. The Premier, M. Christenseir, resigned a few days later. This year M. Christensen was appointed Minister of Defence. On the 4th October a petition bearing 140,000 signatures was presented to the King of Denmark, asking him to order the allegations against M. Alberti, ex-Mirlis-fcer of Justice, to be investigated by a j State Court. The petitioners also deprecated the inclusion of M. Christensen in the Ministry. The, King refused to grant the petitioners an interview, I and deplored the suspicions raised against M. Christensen.
