SEVENTY-FIVE MILLIONS STERLING. FIFTY PER CENT. OVER THE ESTIMATE. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. (Received Novembei' 27, 11.15 a.m.) NEW YORK, 26th November. The total cost of the Panama Canal, including £59,400,000 sterling for the actual cost of construction, is officially estimated at £75,000,000, which is 50 per cent, above the original estimate. There is a growing feeling in America against the lock plan.
