MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.

' i A concert, arranged by Miss Kirkcaldie, attracted a large audience to the Missions to Seamen Institute last night. Mr. James Moore, the Missioner, occupied the chair. The following contributed items to the programme :—Pianoforte solo, Miss Kirkcaldie ; song, Mr. Johnson ; song, Miss Parsons ; song, Mr. Blundoll; recitation, Mr. Cummings; song, Mr. Kirkcaldie. Misses Blundell and Kirkcaldie acted as accompanists. Several popular choruses were sung by the audience, and a conundrum competition was won by bailors from *hips in port. The Missioner delivered a temperance address, sixteen men subsequently signing the pledge. The performers were accorded a hearty vote of thanks at the conclusion, and light refreshments were dispensed.
