AUCTION SALES.

Messrs. T. Kennedy Macdonald, Ltd., advertise particulars of a sale of three houses for romoval, Nos. 1, 5, and 11, Sussex-square, to be removed within one month from date of sale, as the land is required for nn entrance to the now Government House. The sale will be held on the premises to-morrow at" 11 o'clock sharp. At 1.30 o'clock, at the residence, Norrisvillo, No. 65, Majori-banks-streot, on account of a gentleman who is leaving for England, the firm will sell the household furniture, contents of seven rooms. The furniture will be on view on tho morning of the sale. Messrs. A. L. Wilson and Co. advertise particulars of a sale of furnituro and effects, also Bohm piano, at the rosidonce of Mr. F. Martin, 19, Hankeystroet, when the contents of eight rooms will bo offered. On Friday morning at 11 o'clock the firm will offer tho contracting and builders' plant of Messrs. Adams and Smart, at the yard, 13, Martin-street; the afternoon of the same day they dispose of the contents of soven* rooms, situate 217, Tinakori-road, on behalf of a lady who is giving up housekeeping. Belhune and Co. announce in our auction columns that on Wednesday and Thursday, 24th and 25th msts., commencing each day at 2 p.m., at their rooms, they are holding an auction of a consignment of books, ex s.s. It has been decided to form in Auckland a branch of the Victoiia League, a non-party organisation of British men and women, banded together for the purpose of promoting amongst the peoples of the colonies knowledge of the needs of the Empire and the inculcation of patriotism.
