Messrs. T. Kennedy Macdonald, Ltd., advertise particulars of a sale of three houses for romoval, Nos. 1, 5, and 11, Sussex-square, to be removed within one month from date of sale, as the land is required for nn entrance to the now Government House. The sale will be held on the premises to-morrow at" 11 o'clock sharp. Belhune and Co. announce in our auction columns that on Wednesday and Thursday, 24th and 25th msts., commencing each day at 2 p.m., at their rooms, they are holding an auction of a consignment of books, ex s.s. It has been decided to form in Auckland a branch of the Victoiia League, a non-party organisation of British men and women, banded together for the purpose of promoting amongst the peoples of the colonies knowledge of the needs of the Empire and the inculcation of patriotism.
