Mr. M'Gowen this evening moved the adjournment of the debate in the Assembly, in order to discuss tho question of the nationalisation of sufficient collieries to supply public requirements IMPRACTICABLE AND ABSURD. MOTION NEGATIVED. . j (Received November 17, 10.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Minister of Mines (Mr. Wood) characterised the nationalisation of the mines as not only impracticable and impossible, but absurd. The motion for adjournment of the Assembly was negatived by 35 votes to 29.
