LODGE MEETINGS.
The fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Britannia Lodge" of Oddfellows was held in tho lodgo room last evening. N.G. Bro. Anderson occupied tho chair. The attendance of brethren was smaU> due no doubt to the pleasant surumerlike evening. Tho sick visitors' reports were very satisfactory, comparatively few members being on "the sick funds at present. It was decided that owing to tho festive season intervening, tho quarterly summoned meeting be held on the 13th pros, instead of the 27th, as^, before intended. Nominations for the various offices for the coming half year were declared open, and it is considered that there will be keen contests for the honours of the lodge. One candidate for membership was proposed. The Poneke Lodge, U.A.0.D., Petone, held its fortnightly meeting last evening, Bro. Gough, A.D., presiding. One candidate presented himself' and was duly initiated. The lodgo received a present from tho A.D., in tho shape of a glass panel, with tho Druids' head and lodge letters and emblems, for the ArchDruids' pedestal.
