WAIHI EXTENDED. [BT TELEGBAFH. — rRKSS ASSOCIATION. J WAIHI, Ist November. The new reef recently intersected in the south-east crosscut of No. 5 level in the Waihi Extended mine appears to be a cross lode connecting the No. 2 lode with the No. 1 or main Martha lode. A crosscut at right angles to the lode is now proceeding, to yrove its width, and has already penetrated for 15 feet of highly mineralised ore, and there is yet no sign of the .Avail. This is the most important development that has occurred in the Extended, and th© fnct of this lode being cut at the 1000foot level and well to the eastward of any workings on the field promises well for the future of this and the adjoining property, the Consolidated. NEW BIG RIVER. REEFTON, let November. New Big River October returns :— 460 tons crushed for 4410z melted golds cyanide, 31oz lldwts bullion 'from 300 ( tons sand ; total estimated value, £1925. The Wellington Stock Exchange has received advice that the total return from the Undaunted Gold Mining Co., Ltd., for October, is 660z.
