An interesting billiard match was witnessed last night, in the Cycle Club' 3 rooms, when Mr. George Grimstone, representing the Civil Service Clubj met' Mr. John Key, of the Artillery Sports Club, in the final heat for the amateur billiard championship of Wellington, which carries with it a gold medal, and a challenge trophy known as the Crystallate Cup. Key led up to 257, but Grimstone then went to the front as the result of six useful breaks, which averaged 23, and at the finish he won by. 500 to 436. This win for Grimstone makes his third one, and if he wins the cup once more it will become his absolute property.
