MANAWATU SHOW.
[BX TELEGRAPH — PEESS ASSOCIATION.] PALMERSTON N., This Day. There is every indication of the Manawatu Show eclipsing it* predecessors in every way. The displays generally in live stock and the Manawatu Ken. nel Club and industrial sections will surpass anything yet seen on the grounds. Many features are presented to visitors at this great rural exhibition. The show itself it rather a series of exhibitions, inasmuch as the live stock numbers about 2000 head, the Manawatu Kennel Club's dog show 220 dogs, and the photography, art and industrial sections 14,590 entries. In all, there are some 700 differ- | ent exhibitors, thus furnishing some idea of the magnitude of the show. The fixture opens on Wednesday with the industrial exhibition, Thursday is the live stock and judging days, and Friday the people's day. His Excellency the Governor is to be present on Thursday, besides a parly of members of Parliament. Altogether, the exhibition will be a, distinct advance on any of those previously held. l *
