DISAGREEABLE WEATHER.
The good humour in these days is, short-lived. On Saturday its sunniness of temperament was used up, and yesterday and 10-day the northerly arrived with gloom. The dispensations this spring are one part of fine to three or four of the dismal or boisterous. To-day's forecast mentions that heavy rain is probable southward of Kawhia and Napier, with snow in high country, and colder weather generally. The North Ls also condemned to a probability of rain and unsettled weather. The storm, warning sent to the M'Kenzie Country last week, is working out according to specification. Today the Meteorological Office received the following telegram from the postmaster of Kemble : — "Raining heavily this morning. Your forecast correct, as usual. ' '
