LODGE MEETINGS.

The fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Britannia Lodge of Oddfellows was held in the lodgeroom on Monday evening. The Noble Grand, Bro. M. Anderson, occupied the chair, and there was a fair attendance of the brethren. The initiation of four candidates was conducted by the Grand Master, Bro. Looner, who also Jed in the giving of lodge honours to the newly-initiated. The sick visitors' reports showed that the larger portion of sickness v as confined to the city or lower area, the hill regions being almost free from trouble. The question of obtaining a new "Memoriam" board was again referred to a committee, which will forward a report to the next meeting of "the lodge. Two proposals for membership were received.
